Lovely little specialty market...The owner helped me find the items I needed. He was cheerful and customer oriented. There was a sweet young girl there who responded immediately when I dumped the contents of my wallet on the floor, picking everything up for me. This is clearly a family business. IMHO, we can support small businesses like this by paying cash so they don't have to pay service fees on credit cards.
Big improvements really have paid off. The new LED lighting is a welcome change and the store now looks better for it. Its very clean inside and looks to be less cluttered and better laid out. The fresh out of the oven Sun and Moon breads are fantastic. Meat prices are very reasonable and the entire shopping experience is elevated. The owner is caring and compassionate helping older shoppers load groceries into their cars and helping people park outside. A stand up guy. Love this place.
This store is such a nice little find! My family and I stumbled on it when we went to get our nails done at the place next door and now we go almost every time we go to Knoxville. The store is small but very clean and has a good variety of things you can't find at other stores, including several food items they make fresh in store! Everything we've gotten from the store has been fresh and delicious and all the people in the store are super friendly! I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for something specific or just want to try something new!
The attendant is very helpful. I always find Middle Eastern speciality food. They are well stocked. I am glad we have this place in Knoxville. Egyptian Feta Cheese is a superior item that is always in stock.
The market is great with a nice selection of items from throughout the Middle East. The owner is very helpful and nice....he called his wife to check on how coarse a bulgur wheat we should use for kibbeh!
My go to grocery store for middle eastern goodies that I need to cook with. From spices, to grains..this market has most of everything I need. The shelves are not fully stocked, but you find the basics. Groceries that I'm used to getting in dearborn, I can buy here. The prices are not overtly priced either. Probably a $.50 increase. I always stock up on lentils and bulgur cracked wheat. They have frozen halal meats, basterma, all kinds of cheese, and yogurt. The owner Mohamad is so humble and nice. Love coming here.
